This is a special week in the life of Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus, as Thursday, July 22, 2021, marks the official 20-year anniversary of its beginning.

On this date 20 years ago, James Wessel took delivery of the first used fire truck that he purchased. From that simple beginning, our campus has become the intermediate home to thousands of used fire trucks — trucks that have since moved on to serve, and continue to serve, communities across the country.

The dream of helping fire departments find the best used fire trucks their funds can afford was a catalyst for the beginning — and it is still our mission today.
